“Let me tell you about my doula, Miranda Kuchta!

She started out as my husband’s buddy’s new girlfriend… I knew immediately upon meeting her that I loved her energy and wanted to become friends, but what I didn’t know is that a year later she would become a piece of my heart and soul! I also didn’t know much about doulas when Adam and I asked her to support us, but something in my heart told me we would need her with us. Throughout our long and sometimes frightening journey in labor, Miranda was by my side to comfort me at every contraction and every fear with tenderness and understanding. She made Adam feel so seen, heard and valued, as well. When he was in doubt about how to support me, she helped him find the answers to show up as the perfect birth partner.

We trusted her fully as she provided us with new positions to keep labor moving along, help advocating for my birth wishes, and unending encouragement and love to keep our morale up! We did it as gracefully as we could with her help, and we could not have done it without her. At the end, we got our beautiful baby girl and every moment was well worth the wait!
